It has been my observation that the process as it now stands is as bewildering for parents as it is for students. I ease the stress and anxiety associated with college admissions. Consistent and constant communication is provided to both student and parent throughout.
Initial interview is conducted with the student and parents to establish goals for the college planning process. An application timetable is developed and a beginning list of schools is discussed. Springboard will work with students to discover academic programs at schools meeting their interests and matching their potential.
Springboard College Consulting meets with students regularly to refine the college list and oversee entire process including high school course selection, securing recommendations, planning college visits, submitting applications well-ahead of posted deadlines, discussing essay topics and preparing for interviews. Meetings are structured to the specific needs of the student.
Preparation for campus tours and interviews are discussed. Premium is placed on focusing on interview deadlines.
Assist in completing applications, meet with parents and school personnel. Meticulously review all applications prior to submission to the colleges.
Suggestions regarding the SAT or ACT preparation are offered. Timetable and deadlines for these tests are given to the student.
Consultation with the student continues until applications are completed. We maintain regular on-going communication with students, parents and the appropriate campus admission offices throughout the process. Usually the applications are completed by December of the senior year or earlier if the student is filing Early Decision or Early Action. The average time commitment, one-on-one with each student is approximately 70-80 hours.
